The Caroline County Health Department, a local
office of the Maryland
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, is dedicated to communicable disease
prevention, wellness promotion, and environmental protection for all
residents and the county in which they live. The Department operates ten programs concerned with addictions, developmental disabilities, health education and vital statistics, adult health and geriatrics, child health, communicable disease control, the environment, maternity and family planning, mental health and wellness promotion. Most services are tax supported. No one is denied services because of inability to pay. Interpreter
