DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Caroline County Health Department will host a low-cost rabies clinic on Tuesday\, June 2\, 2026. Pet owners are strongly encouraged to protect their pets and their families by keeping animals up to date on their rabies vaccination. \nRabies is a serious\, but preventable viral disease that attacks the nervous system. It is predominantly seen in domestic animals like dogs and cats\, as well as wild animals like raccoons\, foxes\, and bats. There is no cure for the rabies virus\, and for any unvaccinated pet\, the result is fatal. \nEvent Details: \n\nOnly cats\, dogs\, and ferrets will be vaccinated at the events.\nAnimals must be at least 12 weeks old.\nThe cost is $5 per pet.\nAdvanced registration is required\, and spots are limited.\nAnimals must be under the complete control of a responsible adult at all times.\nDogs must be on a leash and cats and ferrets must be tethered to their carrier or cage.
