The Caroline County Health Department

January 1, 2022
January is Radon Awareness Month!

Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers.  For children, radon and second-hand smoke are the biggest risks for developing lung cancer later in life.  Unless you test with a radon test kit, you can't tell whether your home has radon, because radon is a gas that has no smell, no color, and can't be seen.

The Caroline County Health Department, a local office of the Maryland Department of Health, is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of the lifelong Health and Wellness of our County's residents and environment.

We provide a wide array of Public Health Services:

Most services are tax supported, others are fee-for-service

a Sliding Fee Scale is available for those who qualify.
