Health Aide, Clinical Division (Repost)

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractual

Filing Deadline: September 25, 2023

The main purpose of this position is to provide assistance in the clinic of the Caroline County Health Department. This position will take note of patients’ blood pressures and weights, as well as obtain urine specimens for both the Family Planning and the Maternity and Babies Born Healthy Programs. This position will also be in charge of stocking the exam room and for cleaning both the lab and exam rooms. Finally, if necessary, this position will answer phones, take messages, and make appointments for clients in the front clerical office.

Medical Care Program Associate I

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractual

Filing Deadline: October 5, 2023

The main purpose of this position is to assist individuals and/or families with the eligibility process for MCHP/FAC/MA programs. This position will provide such assistance by performing outreach services to a community location in the Northern and Southern areas of Caroline County. In addition, this position will assist pre-release inmates with the eligibility process at the local detention center.

Mental Health Professional Counselor (Repost)

Employment Type: Full-Time

This position will provide clinical social work services to behavioral health patients at the Caroline County Health Department, with a particular focus on high-risk patients with cases which present a great deal of complexity. This position will provide these services to children, adolescents and/or adults. The incumbent must be licensed to provide a psychiatric diagnosis, as well as be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Community Health Outreach Worker I: Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (Repost)

The main purpose of this position is to provide individual breastfeeding counseling, via in-person and/or telephone, for English and Spanish-speaking pregnant and/or breastfeeding women, based on the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor guidelines. This position will educate all pregnant women with the basic information regarding breastfeeding.

The Caroline County Health Department welcomes the opportunity to host internships for students pursuing their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees, as well as those seeking a professional certification in a clinical field. Each internship can be individually tailored to meet the student’s needs and provide a meaningful opportunity to learn.
