Mental Health Professional Counselor (Repost)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Filing Deadline: February 29, 2024

This position will provide clinical social work to behavioral health patients on either an outpatient basis or in a school-based setting with a particular focus on high-risk patients with cases which present a great deal of complexity. This position will provide these services to children, adolescents and/or adults. The position will function under minimal supervision. This position is designated Emergency Essential: 24/7 status, may need to respond to a public health emergency and provide own transportation. Position may be required to stay late or come in after hours. The position is also eligible for telework, per the Caroline County Health Department Leadership. Must be licensed by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Alcohol & Drug Professional Counselor (SUD Counselor) (Repost)

Employment Type: Full-Time

An Alcohol and Drug (A/D) Associate counselor is the full performance level of work, at the Certified Masters Degree Level, counseling clients with substance abuse disorders by using intervention, treatment and rehabilitation. Employees in this classification do not supervise other Alcohol and Drug Counselors. This position is designated Emergency Essential: 24/7 status, may need to respond to a public health emergency and provide own transportation. Position may be required to stay late or come in after hours. The position is also eligible for telework, per the Caroline County Health Department Leadership.

Social Worker I, Health Services

Social Worker I, Health Services is a professional clinical social work at the intermediate level providing direct social work services to clients in a special population in a health setting.  The work involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.  The nature of the work may require evening and weekend hours.  Work is performed in hospitals, residential facilities, clinics or local health units.

The Caroline County Health Department welcomes the opportunity to host internships for students pursuing their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees, as well as those seeking a professional certification in a clinical field. Each internship can be individually tailored to meet the student’s needs and provide a meaningful opportunity to learn.
