Low Cost Rabies Vaccine Clinic

The Caroline County Health Department will host a low-cost rabies clinic on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Pet owners are strongly encouraged to protect their pets and their families by keeping animals up to date on their rabies vaccination.
Rabies is a serious, but preventable viral disease that attacks the nervous system. It is predominantly seen in domestic animals like dogs and cats, as well as wild animals like raccoons, foxes, and bats. There is no cure for the rabies virus, and for any unvaccinated pet, the result is fatal.
Event Details:
- Only cats, dogs, and ferrets will be vaccinated at the events.
- Animals must be at least 12 weeks old.
- The cost is $5 per pet.
- Advanced registration is required, and spots are limited.
- Animals must be under the complete control of a responsible adult at all times.
- Dogs must be on a leash and cats and ferrets must be tethered to their carrier or cage. Muzzles are required for aggressive dogs.
- Pets with valid proof of prior rabies vaccination are eligible to receive a three-year rabies vaccination.
- All other pets will receive a one-year vaccination.
