The Caroline County Health Department is now processing birth and death certificates by appointment only on Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays from 8:30–11:30 AM and 1:00–3:00 PM. Walk-ins will be given the next available appointment and may need to wait or return later, depending on availability.

The Child Fatality Review Team is a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team that reviews individual cases of child deaths. The ultimate purpose of the review process is to understand the circumstances around those deaths and to influence policies and programs to improve child health, safety and protection, and to prevent future child deaths.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Purple Paddle at the Martinak State Park boat landing in Denton, Maryland! The community event features an 8:00 AM sunrise service of remembrance with local clergy, followed by a two-mile group paddle on the Choptank River at 9:00 AM to support recovery awareness.
The Caroline County Health Department will hold a low-cost rabies clinic on September 22nd at the Health Department building in Denton. Pet owners are strongly encouraged to protect their pets and their families by keeping animals up to date on their rabies vaccination.
Our Medical Adult Day Care program will be closed on Wednesday, September 23, due to a mandatory staff training. Services will resume on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Thank you for your patience.
Please join us at this year's Community Baby Shower for raffle prizes, resources, and information. Event will be held at the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Department. Participants must be pregnant or have a child under 2, and must be a Caroline County resident. Residency will be verified upon entry.
